A heartbreaking day, even with the leak to warn us it was coming. To all the women who tried to warn us before that, you weren't exaggerating, you aren't hysterical, you were right and the country failed to listen to you. With states rights being key on abortion and meaning nothing on guns it is clear this has nothing to do with laws, justice, or reason. This is a purely political, ideological and deeply regressive attack on rights that is the culmination of 50 years of conservative planning.

In NJ we must act immediately to address not just the legal protection for abortion, but also protecting access to abortion, requiring insurance coverage, funding for those who are uninsured or can't cover related costs, and the expansion of the types of qualified medical professionals who can perform abortions.

But first, we come together to demonstrate our solidarity with everyone this decision affects and all those who are next on the Supreme Court's extreme right wing hit list.
